* Wearing appropriate clothing for horseback riding should prevent most of any possible chafing and pinching.
- A good suggestion is to wear a pair of thick stretch pants if you do not have any jodhpurs. Jeans and any type of baggy pants do not provide enough protection and can be very uncomfortable.
- Shoes with a well-defined heel are important in preventing your foot from slipping through the stirrups.
